CareerMakers Recruitment is currently recruiting a Parcel Sorter on behalf of our client based in Preston, PR26 area.
This role is physically demanding & can involve working unsociable hours depending on the demand. We’re looking for individuals that are flexible in their working approach as on occasion you may be asked to stay on after the proposed end time or start earlier.
We’re looking for someone that is comfortable with the below…
- Unloading of HGV Trailers into the warehouse and placing onto sorting belts
- Handballing parcels
- Segregating different types of mail
- Operating sorting machines
- Sorting parcels into the correct loading areas from a belt using scanners & headsets
- Working in a team to safely load vans ready for despatch
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Following standard processes & operating procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Able to lift lightweight and heavy parcels, weighing up to 15-20kg each.
Shifts:
Sunday - 2am - 10am
Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri - 11:45pm - 8am
Pay Rate:
12am-6am- £15.02ph
6am- onwards- £13.29ph
